Epave Alga

At a distance of 4 miles from the center, the ship resting on a white sand bottom at a depth of 18 meters offers a rather dislocated hull with a silhouette of the hull not very recognizable, except for the bow. But the surrounding sandy desert, sparse with a few Posidonia, transforms the wreck into a real oasis of life! The gutted holds reveal war material intended for the Italian troops in Libya. On the back, stacked gas masks make it look like a sinister battlefield where the bodies have disappeared. A little further ahead, aircraft engines are adjacent to exhaust manifolds and electrical wire rollers. Banks of corbs evolve in the middle of the jagged scrap metal and a few small groupers hide under the silted sheets. The stingrays are sometimes very numerous. A hundred yards from the wreck, three Italian tanks are lying on the sand like little abandoned toys.
